Get Welfare Advice

The Students' Union provides free, confidential and impartial advice and information to empower LSBU students. We provide a professional and friendly environment for you to talk during any difficult times you may face as a student and our staff can help and give advice on a range of welfare issues.

We will try to assist you or if we are unable to, then they will refer you to someone who can.

Getting advice from us
You can book an appointment by contacting us via phone or in person at the Students' Union Reception.

Appointments are 30 minutes long, and you must arrive at least 10 minutes before the specified time of your appointment. To ensure we can deal with your query as promptly as possible, you will need to bring all of the relevant paperwork concerning your enquiry with you to the appointment.

If you cannot get an appointment, we offer a drop-in advice service on Wednesdays at the Southwark campus. The drop-in service runs on a ‘first come first served’ basis so make sure you arrive early!

If you are already booked in to have an appointment with us you should read through the Student Advice Charter so that you can familiarise  yourself with what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. This will give you a better understanding of what support we offer.
