The Occupational Therapy Society is a student-led society at LSBU, run entirely for our students! We aim to be an inclusive, fun and friendly society, offering a range of social events, CPD training opportunities and workshops to all students at LSBU, with a particular emphasis on making events accessible to all occupational therapy student cohorts within the university.
We aim to promote awareness of the occupational therapy profession both within LSBU and the local area, and continue to welcome members from other academic disciplines, offering unique opportunities for interprofessional learning and professional development. In recognition of this the society has been awarded first prize in the LSBSU membership competition for the past two consecutive academic years.
Each year, the society hosts an Annual Occupational Therapy Conference at LSBU, offering a range of seminars and workshops hosted by prominent figures within the world of OT.
Our Annual Conference has received critical acclaim in recent years, featuring in the June 2016 edition of OT News, and being awarded “Event of the Year” and "Society of the Year" two years running at the Annual Students Union Awards.
Entering its fifth year this year, we have big plans for this year’s conference; it is an event not to be missed!
2017/2018 was an incredible year for the society… join us as we continue to build upon the success of previous years, and be a part of something amazing!
