Namaste. We, the Nepali society welcome everyone to explore and discover our culture and traditions. Nepal is the birthplace of Buddha and home to Mount Everest. There are 123 languages spoken within Nepal along with several ethnic groups. For those who may be wondering where we are located, Nepal is situated between China and India. Come and familiarise yourself with our seasonal festivals from Nepalese New Year to Festival of Light also known as Tihar. Our society entails of fun activities such as momo gatherings (Nepal’s most beloved dish), movie nights, bowling, basketball games, library session (to motivate each other), and participate in inter-university Nepalese dance competitions. Our ultimate goal is to preserve our culture here at London South Bank University as well as to represent our university to other Nepalese university societies within the UK.
