As Media Chair my role is to ensure that iBank grows and that it begins to involve and reach more students. iBank is the Students’ Union’s student media platform. It has a radio station and blog page and we are in need of students to deliver fresh content and/or learnt he “behind the scenes” skills needed to deliver student media.
I have decided to take part in iBank because, as a second year student, I am excited to gain more skills and gain more experiences while studying at the South Bank University. As Media Chair I would love to encourage more students like me to take part in iBank, investing their time building up their skills and to share their interests, passion and knowledge through iBank’s radio and blog.
I’d particularly like to focus on those students doing journalism studies to take part in iBank so that they can use and develop their skills. But we’d welcome students from any course here at South Bank to talk about their courses, interests and the wider world.
iBank has always had a radio station, but this year I would love to focus on interviewing students, alumni and inspirational people about their life careers in order to inspire more student to achieve their career goals. I also like to get more students sharing personal tips and recommendations from cooking to study techniques. I’d love to bring live videos of the radio recordings to that people can get involved in real time.
We need students like you who have their own interests and knowledge to make iBank bigger and better for both in front and behind the “camera”
iBank should be representing who the students of South Bank are. I want to make sure we get as many students involved and listening from as much of the University as we can. Then I want to work hard with the SU to get the content of iBank out there!
