Money Champions Recruitment

Money Champions

The Money Champion programme is a peer-mentoring scheme created so that LSBU students have the opportunity to support each other in practicing good money management. The programme will provide several LSBU volunteers with the chance to gain a strong knowledge and understanding of the money problems common to university students.

These students will be sent on a two-day training course before providing mentoring and support to the student body as “Money Champions”. During this training they will learn about a range of money management techniques and develop skills and knowledge in areas such as;

·      Communications

·      Engaging and advising their peers

·      Money management including;

o   Welfare benefits

o   Budgeting

o   Managing bills and debts

o   Choosing the right bank account and making the most of it

Post this course the Champions will be working with the Students Union to engage students and improve the knowledge on money matters as well as support them with finding solutions to money problems.

To get involved register interest here. The dates for the training  will be the 26th of August and the 2nd of September.
