"Green Impact Students' Union" is NUS' flagship sustainability accreditation scheme for students' unions across the country. Green Impact brings together students and staff to build greener campuses, curriculums and communities.
In a challenging political and global climate, it is unions, universities, colleges and communities that lead the way on sustainability. Students’ unions have excelled, implementing and embedding good environmental practices while expanding their engagement with sustainability to integrate social, political and economic factors.
LSBSU signed up to the NUS initiative, Green Impact in October 2017 and was awarded the "Good" accreditation. They were awarded highly in Partnership and Policies due to the great working relationship with the Universityand it's various departments.
Auditors said that we are "making good progress on sustainability. Plans for the next couple of years show that it is going to increasingly be addressed so it is exciting to see what the outcomes will be". You can find out more about our feedback here.
