Employability continue to support LSBU Grads

Did you know that you are still entitled to use the LSBU Employability Service for up to 2 years after you graduate? Come and speak to one of our Employability Advisors who can assist and guide you through your job search, job applications, CVs and mock interviews to help you find the perfect job for you. Opening times are 9-5pm, Monday to Friday, and you’ll find us just on the right through the entrance to the Student Centre on Borough Road. August Summer Programme
The Summer Programme is an opportunity for you to find out from experts exactly what is required in today's job market, explore how to sell your key skills and enhance your employability prospectsRunning from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 August, there are a variety of sessions including Using Recruitment Agencies, How to Make the Most of LinkedIn, Networking and the Hidden Job Market, Skills to Succeed and Employer Perspectives. Help Your Community and your Career – Volunteer!
There are endless volunteering opportunities for people to take part in. They can range from community work, working with ex-offenders and youth work to education, advice and human rights. Organisations working with us on our Volunteering Programme include: South Bank Centre, Save the Children, Victim Support, Citizens Advice Bureau, Kings College Hospital NHS and many many more, with roles as diverse as Admin Assistant, Care roles, IT Support Assistant, Advice Coordinator, Finance Assistant, After Schools Kids Mentor and so on….
 

To find a Volunteering position suitable for you, or to let us know where you are already volunteering so we can reward you, contact Cristin on volunteering@lsbu.ac.uk. Alternatively you can drop in to our Volunteering Drop-in Sessions every Tuesday in the Career Gym: 10am to 1pm.
