More About London South Bank Students' Union
London South Bank Students’ Union is a small Union doing BIG things - following considerable new investment in our staff team we’re looking to recruit a number of additional roles now.
We're proud as a staff team to have taken a failing Union 5 years ago, and turned it into an emergent leader, but we're nowhere near done yet, and getting a stronger student voice on campus is of the highest importance to us.
We operate in London, arguably one of the most challenging, yet rewarding higher education environments in the UK. We push ourselves every day, developing our work and delivering for our members. We are now seen by our institution as the authoritative voice of students; a crucial ally in improving the student experience; and key resource to the institution.
Culturally we're the kind of Union that likes big, bright ideas. As a Programme Lead you will be given both the support and freedom to try new things, challenge assumptions and grow the Union into something that positively affects the day to day lives of every student on campus.
As an employer, we want to ensure staff feel well supported, cared for and rewarded, we do this in a number ways:
We're a great place to work, and we're not just saying that - we're genuinely really proud of our working environment, we achieve a lot (we're record breaking), but we also have a supportive and relaxed style; we find it helps us achieve great results. But don't just take our word for it, feel free to come and see us, we like people making informed decisions, we'll even make you a cup of tea too.
It's a great environment, we're based in a beautiful newly refurbished space in the heart of London, minutes from the River Thames, Shard and The South Bank Centre. London is on your doorstep, and with both London Bridge & Waterloo Stations within a stone's throw, your commute to and from work will be a breeze.
The benefits package, as an employee you not only get a generous salary, access to specialist industry training and development, and a great benefits package including generous holiday entitlements, pension, and great salary sacrifice schemes - we'll also throw in an NUS Totum card so you can tap into all the discounts students can too.
