Make our events bigger and better!
Your input and involvement is crucial to fulfilling our aim of providing events that students want and can relate to.
Whether you’re interested in coming up with new ideas, want event planning/ marketing experience, or wish to develop your skills and knowledge relevant to industry, the events team wants you.
These roles will enable you to work on various event projects throughout the year, building up a portfolio of experience. Not only will you be improving your employability but you will be enhancing student life at South Bank University.
Hours are completely flexible meaning you can do as much or as little as you like. As a further benefit you will receive training and free entry to events. You will also be able to log volunteer hours and get awarded a certificate for the number of hours you complete.
An example of some of the events you could be working on include Freshers, Re-freshers, Weeklies, Halloween, Christmas parties, Annual Awards Ceremonies, End of Year Party plus many more.
Roles available include:
Promotions Assistant - aiding the promotion of events by distributing marketing materials.
Marketing Assistant - market research tasks such as suverys, focus groups. Plus, creating and obtaining sponsorship.
Ticket Seller - selling tickets to events. As well as free entry to the event you will also earn commission from every ticket sold.
Event Host - hosting events, welcoming people, making sure that the event runs to schedule and helping setting up and closing down.
Photographer - taking photos and videos at events
