Thursday 21 February 2019, 5pm - 6pm - VG11
Thursday 21 February 2019
Setting up a business can often feel overwhelming and confusing. It can also feel like a big step - going from the safety of having an idea, to setting something up officially. There are so many things to consider and it's often difficult to know where to start.
This session will take you through the setting-up process, focusing on the most important steps you need to take to ensure you set up correctly and are protected. Featuring lots of stories from different start-ups this interactive session will breakdown all the legalities of setting up a business, so that you can feel confident about how you can move your idea forward.
The session will be led by Michael Buckworth, the Managing Director of Buckworths Solicitors and an LSBU Entrepreneur in Residence. Michael has a huge breadth of experience advising both large multi-national companies as well as early stage startups and high growth companies. Named as “Corporate Lawyer of the Year” for the past three years, he spends much of his time advising clients on corporate and commercial strategy as well as dealing with other issues facing their businesses.
This event is part of a series of the Student Enterprise events series at London South Bank University (LSBU).
This event is free to attend and everyone is welcome.
This event counts towards a Certificate in Enterprise*.
