CAMPAIGNS

Welcome to the campaigns page for London South Bank Students' Union. Here is where you will find all information relating to the campaigning side of life here at LSBU.

Throughout the year we will be running a series of small and high profile campaigns, dealing with everything from library opening times to political activism. We are located in the heart of South London, so the possibilities for an active student movement and real change are endless.

Within my role as Vice President of Welfare and Campaigns, I am responsible for the representation and well-being of over 23,000 students. For real change and representation to work, we need an active student body. The union works with your participation, so please, let us know what you want and what we can do to make your life here as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

There are many opportunities to get involved. From volunteering to demonstrating, you can make yourself as actively involved as you wish. I have many years experience working with political parties and organisations, so if you have any ideas or questions, then come along to the Students' Union offices and just ask.

Most of all, make sure that you are enjoying yourself at LSBU. If you have any problems, from academic to personal, then we are here to help you. I work closely with the Student Advice Bureau, so no matter how big or daunting your problems seem, there is someone here who can help you and point you in the right direction.

I have an open door policy, so please come in and see me anytime. Alternatively, you can contact me via email at vpwelfare@lsbu.ac.uk or by phone on 020 7815 6075 (if you are calling from halls or from a University phone, simply dial 6075... its free).

You can now also join the LSBU Welfare and Campaigns group on Facebook. The group will be kept up to date with all the events and campaigns going on at LSBSU, and give you a chance to comment on your experience here at University. Just click here.

I hope to see you soon,

Maninder Roopra (Mani)

Vice President Welfare and Campaigns
