24 HOURS LIBRARY SERVICE

LSBU Perry Library being the main book source for over twenty one thousand students at South Bank should be adequate and sufficient in terms of providing a non-electronic source of information, data and reference in quantity, quality, relevance as well as covering the required subject areas for LSBU students in assisting them with their quest for information and knowledge during their studies. LSBSU believes that these conditions are not met and that opening hours for the Perry Library should be supportive and reflective of course schedules and times (24hrs) students having access to Library facilities and space during or around examination periods, coursework submission periods etc. We believe there should also be a provision for students who reside on campus and do not have access to adequate study space, facilities and equipment, should have access to such a service 24hrs.

More books for Courses

Students for some time now have been complaining about the lack of sufficient quantity of text books available in the Perry Library as well as books that are relevant, current and up to date in terms of their contents and contexts and also containing information and data representative of changes in disciplinary, ideological, models, technology and contemporary thinking.
