Welcome to London South Bank University Athletic Union and congratulations on getting here. Hopefully the next three years will provide you with some of the best days of your life.
The Athletic Union forms an essential part of the Students’ Union and your student experience, providing you with the opportunity to enjoy social, sporting and cultural activities alongside your studies
We are committed to providing our students with the opportunity to play sports at all levels. If you have come to the university as an experienced sports man or woman you will be interested to know that we have one of the most developed sports scholarship schemes offered at any University across the country. For those of you that just fancy a new challenge then we still have a club to suit you. From Table Tennis to Taekwondo and Badminton to Basketball, we attempt to provide sport for all.
For more information on any of the clubs mentioned here, then please come and see us in the AU office, located in the London Road building.

How to join the Athletic Union
- LSBU Students (full or part-time) - £12
- Reciprocal (students at institutions other than LSBU, subject to approval)-£12
- Alumni (ex-LSBU students with valid association card) - £17
- Associates (externals, subject to approval) - £22
Bring yourself to the AU Office next to the Sports Centre in London Road armed with two passport photos and the appropriate membership fee in either cash or cheque, (cheques can only be accepted if the card number is written on the reverse of the cheque) payable to London South Bank Students' Union. You will then receive your AU card, which entitles you to join any AU club.
